PD Dr. med. habil. Andreas Gerd Schmutzler

Specialist in Gynecology, Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine, University Lecturer and Jurist

PD Dr. Schmutzler, German and Swiss, Director at the gyn-medicum Center for Reproductive Medicine, Goettingen, Germany, researcher and lecturer at the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel, Germany, and the Georg-August-University Goettingen, Germany. Studied law in Bonn, Germany and Geneva, Switzerland, worked as interpreter for German, English and French, studied human medicine in Bonn, learned micromanipulation in the USA and introduced it to human reproductive medicine in Germany, thus achieving the first babies in Germany with PZD, SUZI and ICSI. He has published more than 300 articles, book chapters  and lectures in reproductive medicine, biology, genetics and ethics, is a member of various national and international professional organizations and editorial boards of international scientific journals, has been accepted into the International Academy of Human Reproduction and the Virtual Academy of Genetics and has participated in several European projects in his field. Together with his wife Dr. med. Monica Tobler heads the International School of Medicine, Kiel-Goettingen-Munich, with theoretical and practical courses in reproductive medicine for gynecologists, primarily from developing countries.
